Born to saved parents, Benjamin Stalcup was blessed to be exposed to the gospel from the time of birth, so it is no surprise that as a young child he decided to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He grew up on the mission field, and first attended Calvary Bible Church in junior high and high school when his family moved to Osceola. During this time he surrendered his life to full-time Christian service at a missions conference held at the church. After high school, he moved to Lattimore, NC, where he studied Pastoral Theology at Ambassador Baptist College. It was there that he met his future wife, Carrissa. They graduated in May, 2007, and were married later that year. They continued to serve in various ministries in their local church until God moved them back to Osceola in January, 2015. Six months later, he accepted the call to serve as interim pastor here at CBC. It is Pastor’s desire to glorify God by faithfully sharing the gospel, and impacting lives for Christ in south-central Iowa.
